William Caxton set up the first printing press at the Sign of the Red Pale in Westminster in 1476 and the books he printed there all had this printer's mark in them. The press continued to operate until the end of the century for some time under the direction of Wynkyn de Worde, this version of the mark dates from that time. Printed by hand on a 270gsm Colorplan card stock. 148x105mm. Comes complete with matching envelope.
