This is a very lively woodcut from an English Civil War broadside.  The broadshire was entitled 'A Dialogue, or Rather a Parley Between Prince Ruperts Dogge Whose Name is Puddle, and Tobies Dog Whose Name is Pepper, and was printed in 1643. The pamphlet, as the image on the card shows, is a fictional dialogue between Prince Rupert's poodle (whose name was 'Boy') and Pepar, the dog of a Parliamentarian.

This blank greetings card is hand-printed in our studio on a high-quality 270gsm card; it measures 148x105mm and comes complete with a matching envelope.
